I couldn't put this book down. It's a raw, real story that pulls you in from the very beginning . The emotions are authentic, and you truly feel like you're experiencing everything alongside the characters. I especially loved how Pat was part of the story through his letters- it added such a personal and heartfelt layer that made it even more powerful

I'm not usually a memoir person and I was a little hesitant to start this when my wife recommended it. Yet from the very beginning I was hooked. Dawn has a way with words and the dynamic of her and Pat's relationship is such a captivating read. I'm super glad I read this. Pat is a funny guy!
